“Whether you succeed or not is irrelevant, there is no such thing. Making your unknown known is the important thing.”
— Georgia O’Keeffe
I always wanted to be a fine artist. I trained in Bangkok then at an art school in Pittsburgh, PA. Someway… somehow, I decided to go to a design school in Rochester, NY.
I graduated with Master of Fine Arts and well… became a designer. I started out as a multimedia designer, a front-end web designer, a graphic designer, then an art director. More and more years passed… but I knew I always wanted to be an artist.
After spending time in Maine, someway… somehow, I started to paint again. I paint mostly from photos I took or photos that inspire me. Changing mediums was hard at first. Took awhile not wanting to do command Z when making mistakes on the paintings.
Honestly, I love both, paint and design. Paint takes courage and design takes knowledge. Sometimes I find myself designing my canvas… there you have it, composition and emotion. And just like that, I became a fine artist.
